Can Hip Dysplasia In Infant Be Caused By Early Inducement Of Birth?
Question: Think you for any help. Can hip dysplasia in infant be caused by early inducement of birth
Brief Answer:
No obvious correlation between the two
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Hip dysplasia is a developmental defect primarily caused due to improper position of the baby inside the uterus (before it is born). It can also be due to normal hormones that help relax ligaments to make childbirth easier. Positive family history plays a role. But, it is unlikely to be related to early induction of delivery. So, it can be said that early induction is not supposed to cause developmental dysplasia of hip in a newborn.
Hope that helps.
