Can Hot Flashes And Night Seats Along With Underarm Body Odor From My Hormone Change ?
Question: Hi, I am 54 years old and I'm experiencing hot flashes and night seats along with underarm body odor from my hormone change I totally believe. I still have my uterus and all my pap smears and mammogram have always been normal. I DO NOT WANT TO GAIN WEIGHT BUT I DO WANT THESE THINGS TO GO AWAY. My doctor wants to either try Premarin or mimzey (ACTIVELLA) either one in a low dose and I want to know out of the 2 listed which one would you recommend or if there is a different suggestion for these issues. I do have elevated cholesterol of 205, prediabetic of 6.3 it was 7.1 but I'm losing weight and hypothyroidism along with high blood pressure which is controlled. Also, recently my triglycerides were elevated. These hot flashes and night seats have truly messed with my quality of life and sleeping. Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Brief Answer:
fade over time
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query,
The symptoms you mentioned can be typically seen in perimenopausal phase. Though you have other morbidities , these symptoms will fade over time.
There is no need for any medications, brisk exercise and good hydration would suffice to counteract the effects the hormonal imbalance which is seen during this period.
You can supplement yourself with omega 3 fatty acids which can provide some relief to the hormonal imbalance and help you get rid of the undesirable effects of the same.
