Can Hypothyroidism Cause Fatigue And Weakness In The Legs And Arms?
Question: Hi I am a 61yr old female and Ive been recently diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 206 free t3 blood test.
Ive started Thyroid Medicine and stopped it due to severe weakness in my legs I mean afeeling of carrying Heavy Lead it was aweful , However that isnt near as bad now that I stopped the meds and I still have fatique
and some weakness in legs and arms . Also had a complete metabolic panel of tests and others for anemia , B12 and everything is okay. I do suffer from periodic flares from Fibromyalgia and Depression and Anxiety
At my wits end Cannot find the Problem

I have gone carefully through your concern.
I think the symptoms (fatigue and weakness) is due to hypothyroidism and it should be corrected.
Depression is also worsened in hypothyroidism.
I would suggest to try levothyroxine for hypothyroidism as nature thyroid didn't help.
The dose will depend on TSH level and your weight.
So, discuss with your treating physician about levothyroxin.
