Can I Another Dose Of Amlodipine For High BP?
Question: I am on a 2.5 -5 mG daily for high blood pressure. I have checked my blood pressure twice today and its 160/90. Can I take another 2.5 MG of amlodipine? outside of the daily use before I go to bed?

Your Blood pressure reading is definitely high. At present you can take an other dose of Amlodipine 2.5 mg.
Your BP should get better with this. However, you should consult your doctor again for modification of daily dose of anti hypertensive medication. If your BP stays like this only,i would advise in such scenario daily dosage of Amlodipine 5 mg and Hydrocholrothiaizide 12.5 mg for a perfect BP control.
Your BP should be with in normal range for the whole 24 hours. I mean by saying this that it should not increase at any point of time, be it the day or night.
