Can I Get Pregnant Post Unprotected Sex Inspite Of Missing An Active Pill?
Question: Last day of pill pack (Sunday) and I took my first sugar pill by accident. The next day (Monday) I took the last active pill at my usual time. I have since continued to take my sugar pills like normal and have gotten my period (on Friday). I was having sex with a condom while on my period (Saturday) and my boyfriend ejaculated into the condom, but it slipped off while he came out and it was inside me still, so some semen most likely got inside. Just wondering what are my options? Should I be worried? I am planning on taking the last sugar pill today (Sunday) then starting my new pack on Monday.
Brief Answer:
YOU HAD SEX IN YOUR SAFE PERIOD...so you are safe.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
Even if you have missed one active pill and then taken it a day after and then have continued on your sugar pill, its fine. Your menses have already started. Now if you have had sex on the second last day of sugar pill, its your safe period and even if the condom had slipped and there may have been a leak, still as the ovulation has not occurred there are negligible chances of pregnancy. You should rest assured and can safely take the last sugar pill for sunday and then can start your fresh pack from monday.
There is no chance of pregnancy at all as you had sex in your safe period.
Regards
