Can I Have Intercourse Post Hip Labral Repair?

Question: Hello,

I am 5 weeks post op hip labral repair/FAI surgery. My question is: Is it safe to have intercourse? if so, what restrictions would you recommend?

Hello,
I hope after surgery you are feeling better. You can have intercourse surely, I would recommend you to choose woman on top position. You should lie straight on bed without bending your hip too much. There should not be any bending more then 30 degree.

Hello sir,
I would recommend you that lying down is still best position for sex after hip surgery. In standing position, any sudden and jerky move can complicate the repair. Also in lying down position weight on hip joint is minimal.
