Can I Take Percocet And Acetaminophen At The Same Time?

Question: I have been taking Percocet for about ten days due to a huge hematoma on my hip/upper buttock which is severely painful when lying down. I need to take two Percocet four hours apart to get any sleep (wake up from the pain). I would like to try two acetaminophen PM tonight to see if this over the counter sleep aid is more effective in giving me a longer time asleep. According to the label there are 500 mg of acetaminophen in each of the PM tablets. So, my question is: If I had two Percocet last night and I take two acetaminophen tonight is that a problem in a 24-hour period?
Brief Answer:
Can be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The maximum dosage for acetaminophen is 4 grams per day for adults and 1g as a single dose. You can go ahead and take two tablets 500mg acetaminophen if the last dose was 24 hours ago.
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Thanks for info. I did want to make it clear though that one tablet of the Percocet was taken at 10: 00PM last night and one at 1:00AM last night (four hours apart when I woke up with pain). If I take the two acetaminophen PM at around 11:00 PM tonight, does that change your opinion? Also, is the sleep aid in the over the counter acetaminophen PM any problem?
