Hello dear. Follicular lymphoma of the colorectal area can be treated by immunotherapy(rituximab).
However , it is an indolent, low grade disease ans sometime in future may relapse.

Thank you sir. I am a 62 year old male caucasian in otherwise very good health. I want to avoid surgery if possible. A recent abdoman/pelvis CT scan indicated that the lymphona had not spread. What is the typical prescribed treatment by oncologist for this type of lymphoma that appears to be only in the rectosigmoid junction? Thanks .

Single agent therapy

Hello Sir. Your disease can be taken care of by immunotherapy which will be single agent rituximab for 4 cycles followed by maintenance therapy with same agent.
