Can Incomplete Abortion Cause Ovarian Tumor?
confirm cycle dates. USG will help to differentiate various other condition
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I welcome you to HCM VIRTUAL CLINIC. I have gone through your question , and I think I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
1 ) in a woman with regular cycles day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of cycle. If you had unprotected sex in this period, then You Stand chance to get pregnant. Also I would like to know about the dates of your cycles, and weather beta HCG test was done after missing the periods.
2 ) please do not panic about ovarian tumors. Yes of course, some ovarian tumors do secrete HCG, but supportive Usg needs to be done.
3 ) Doing USG will also help to rule out your doubts about incomplete abortion or even ectopic pregnancy.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar
Don't worry, USG will not comment on last year's event .
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for your query to HCM.
If you are having regular periods then most probably the chance of remnants of miscarriage (if any) are not there definitely. USG will not be able to tell about intercourse last year. Do do not worry about it.
But there is a concern about ovarian status. Please get a good USG done, It'd need vaginal method (TVS) to look for ovarian details.
Please do not panic.
All things will be fine.
Thanks
Wish you a great health.
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
with regular cycles, chances of pregnancy remnants are almost nil
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
happy to answer your query.
As such, last year, there was no positive proof of you being pregnant. So chance of getting any pregnancy products on USG are almost nil. Even if it is there, it would be like some thick tissue in the womb.
Also, with remnants of pregnancy , you won't be getting regular cycles for a year. With any products of pregnancy, there will not be regular cycles as you were getting throughout last year.
I will suggest to get proper sex counselling done. In the future, use of condom is advisable. It will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and also protect from STD.
So please do not panic.
Think positive.
All things will be fine in the due course of the time.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks
