Can Lap Dance Lead To HIV Transmission?

default
Posted on Fri, 4 Apr 2014
Question: Went to a club and got a lap dance from a stripper with clothes on. I have few rashes in my abdomen and what are the chances that if she ejaculates and some fluid might have contacted the rash(my shirt moves aside for a while) . She was wearing things and I am quiet sure she.didnt ejaculate. I heard to transmit hiv it needs to contact a direct blood stream for a long time. Is there any risk in this act. Shiuld I need to get tested?

Brief Answer: YOU HAVE ZERO RISK OF HIV Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for posting your query, I understand your concern. If it happened exactly as you described then you have ZERO chance of getting HIV.Yes HIV needs blood or semen contact to your raw skin. Girls do not have semen and you did not have blood contact so relax. No need to get tested also but if you are still loosing sleep get an HIV ELISA after 6 months. There is no point doing it now. Hope this answers your query, please feel free to ask me if you have any doubts. Wishing you good health. Regards.

Thanks. But if suppose some fluid accidentally touches the rashes or some others fluid which she got from.her previous lap dance.is that a risk. I heard that deep cuts and actively bleeding spot can transmit but not small rashes. Moreover the window period is 3 months right?

Brief Answer: Chances are still very low Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for your query. The transmission rates of HIV is very low in the scenario which you are describing as HIV dies once the fluid or blood dries up . So in your case i do not think you are infected. Also as you described HIV needs deep cuts or active bleeding not small rashes to get transmitted. The window period is 3 months MINIMUM but generally the AVERAGE period is around 6 months. Yes you can get tested after 3 months but it will be more accurate test after 6 months as the HIV antibodies would have definitely formed by then to get detected. I hope i have solved your queries. Feel free to ask me any further doubts. Regards

Moreover she was wearing a thong. I was in jeans and underwear. I am pretty sure she didn ejaculate since it happnd only for five min and nothing touched my skin directly. My jeans was covering my rash. If suppose without my knowledge if it got touched for few seconds? I heard that to trasnmit like that the fluid containing hiv should be innoculate and that can happen onlt during intercourse rit? So do I need to take a test? what worries me is that I got flu for few days.

Brief Answer: You do not need the test unless you cannot relax. Detailed Answer: Dear XXXX Thank you for the query. I will advise you to first mentally relax as chances of getting HIV with clothes on are very remote. Also girls do not ejaculate so easily. Having flu does not increase your chance of getting HIV. If you are really worried and want a CONFIRMATORY TEST right now that you absolutely did not get HIV I will advise you to get a "HIV- PCR for p24 antigen" now. It is the gold standard test to know immediately if you have any HIV virus. But it is a costly test (around 3000-4000 rupees) and personally I do not think you need it. It can be done in any good pathology lab. But if you are getting mental agony over the incident I think you should get it done and once it comes negative you can sleep peacefully. Feel free to contact me Regards

Brief Answer: zero risk Detailed Answer: Dear XXXX Touching her thong and then scratching your rash AFTER few hours wont be any risk as the little amount of fluid would have dried and HIV does not survive for 1 hour outside body anyway . So relax . Regards
