Brief Answer:
it is one of the factors affecting balance

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Yes, it can definitely affect balance.

There are three main factors that affect balance-(1) vision
(2) the inner ear- this is the vestibular system
(3)information from the nerves in the lower limbs- this is where peripheral neuropathy may play a role

There are medications that may help you with your symptoms though unfortunately some medications for neuropathy may cause dizziness in some persons which can then further affect balance.

You and your doctor can determine what medication can work best for you if the neuropathy is having a significant effect.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
