Brief answer...given below Detailed answer... Hello, Thanks for the query. Oral fluid test or saliva test is meant to know whether person has recently used the Adderall or not. It can show upto 72 hours in your saliva, after consumption. This test doesn't reveal the actual amount of Adderall in your blood. For knowing the actual amount, blood test has to be carried out. A limit of 1000ng/ml is permissible for medical use. I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query. Best of luck Thanks

Can you explain what you mean by 1000ng/ml. If the test can’t tell how much is in my blood what does that number refer too? I assumed that my dr was checking to see how much of my medication i have been taking but what you are saying is that a saliva test cannot determine that. Could you please clarify.

Hello, Saliva test determines that person is using ADDERALL. It doesn't tell the amount of ADDERALL. It is only blood test, which determines the level of ADDERALL in the blood. This level of 1000 ng is the permissible limit of ADDERALL in blood and level below 1000 ng means that person is taking it as a medicine. If the level is higher than 1000,it indicates the person is abusing the use of ADDERALL and taking it for recreational purpose. Thanks
