Posted on Sat, 10 Oct 2015
Question: Hello,
This past weekend during a lap dance at a strip club, the stripper began to give me a hand job using her saliva as lube. I also very brielfy licked the outside of her vagina. There was no vaginal fluid that I was aware of. Did I put myself at great risk for contracting and STD? Please advise. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Oral sex carries a low risk for STD/HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

Having Hand job is absolutely safe even with saliva as a lubricant. Oral sex with a girl carries a low risk for STD/HIV. Vaginal fluid might not have been perceived due to partially dried state or appeared dried. But even then the risk is low than with anal or vaginal sex to get STD.

Would you advise me to get tested due to this encounter? If so how long should I wait to get tested?

Brief Answer:
Test recommended to alleviate mental tension.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

I am sure the test report would come nonreactive. But anyhow a test for HIV will rule out the same permanently. Otherwise our mind would likely to attribute any illness in future to HIV. So test is recommended to get relieved from unnecessary mental tension.
Test can be performed 12 weeks after this encounter (after the window period). Till then avoid sex or have protected sex.
