Can Overstretching Lead To Pain On The Lateral Side Of The Knee?

Question: Hi, a few weeks ago I was stretching my legs with a pro leg stretcher. You sit in the middle of the contraption and twist a wheel which in turn spreads your legs. I pushed it too far and really hurt my knee. The pain is on the lateral side of the knee, in particular where the lower leg meets the knee. That band. I can walk pain free but get shooting pain when I sit down. Thank you in advance for your time.
Brief Answer:
Avoid this
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This could be due to overstretching of the nerves coming from your spine to your legs and feet.
Avoid too much of stretching as it is practical of no use to your health and is evidently causing you discomfort.
You will be alright in a week once you stop using it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

I have stopped using the machine for about a month now. Doing pt exercises not much relief, I think it's a meniscus tear or lcl injury

Knee brace
