Can Plastic Surgery Be Done After Below Mentioned Blood Test Results?
Question: Hi i am about to have a plastic surgery and while doing tests before i did a cancer marker blood test. My blood tests are all within the norm and my ca-125 is 41. My doc says its nothing to worry about but i am. ( i just had cictytis -clear now and i had the test done on the first day of my period i know this can effect the result) im also gonna be checked again by the gyno after the period ends for endermetriosis ( ? Spelt right?) because i always had it a bit ( but my ovaries are all good)- and also have had constant lower belly pain spreading to my legs for the past 3 months. ( nothing was found in my gastro area) do u think its safe to carry on with the surgery or should i post pone ?
Brief Answer:
yes you can get the surgery done
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I understand your concerns. But you have not mentioned what kind of plastic surgery you will be undergoing. Because doing CA 125 before a plastic surgery is not a routine practice.
CA 125 can be elevated because of many reasons and at 29 years of age, benign conditions like endometriosis are more common. I don't think there is much reason for worry here.
You can go ahead with the surgery.
Hope this helps.
