Question: i am a aplastic anaemia patient.been treated with atg in 2010.since one year i am transfusion free.last month i had an abortion done bcz doctors suggested to abort bcz i am on cyclosporin 150mg per day.this month i was bleeding heavily on my first period so doctor suggested primolut n for 30days.my last blood count hb-7.plt1.2lac.wbc 2.5..would like to know can primolut n bring down my blood counts specially haemoglobin level??please reply

No, primolut is not known to reduce the haemoglobin. Primolut contains Norethisterone which is a progestin hormone analogue, this class of drugs are not known to reduce the hemoglobin directly.
