Can Rabies Spread Thru Saliva Of Cat?
Question: I was coming home tonight and stopped to pet a friendly neighborhood stray cat on the head. When I came in I noticed I had a couple of small cuts- I think from the bags I was carrying- on my left hand. I patted the cat with my right. He didn’t bite me or anything but I’m worried I might have rubbed cat saliva into the small cut on my left hand and given myself rabies. The cat seems fine in its behavior. Am I worried over nothing or should I seek treatment?
Brief Answer:
No need to worry about it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you don't need to be worried about rabies.
The small cuts because of the bags may be very superficial and there can't be dangerous for rabies.
I think you don't need to worry.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
No need to worry about it.
