Can Someone Have Liver Disease With Normal Liver Enzymes?
Very rare case scenario.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing 'Ask A Doctor' service for your query,
I've gone through your problem.
Liver disease as such is a very broad and Ill-defined term.
It may range from normal fat deposition over the liver to liver failure or cancer.
But as a rule of thumb whenever there is a problem with any organ of body the cells forming it would start to die off hence releasing the enzymes stored inside them into the bloodstream in high quantity. The same is true with the liver.
Liver cells stores and produce enzymes named SGOT SGPT Bilirubin etc. If there is a moderate to a severe problem with liver then the cells would die off releasing these enzymes in the blood.
So, in general, liver disease with normal liver enzymes is a rare case scenario.

Detailed Answer:
Respected patient,
Blood analysis is just a part of investigating a patient however if a person progresses to hepatitis or any other condition he/she would show common symptoms of hepatitis like fatigue. flu-like symptoms. dark urine. pale stool. abdominal pain. loss of appetite. unexplained weight loss. yellow skin and eyes, which may be signs of jaundice.
Symptoms plus investigations plus history=Diagnosis.
You just have fatty liver which is a very common finding at age above 30.
Rest assured you have nothing.
Thank you.
