Brief Answer:
stress can cause or worsen tinnitus

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Tinnitus can be caused or worsened by stressful situations.

This means that it is definitely possible that this can be contributing to your symptoms.

The other causes of tinnitus include : (1) meniere's disease - in this condition, there would also be dizziness/vertigo and hearing loss as well

(2)ear infection can also cause tinnitus

(3) trauma to the ear

(4)excess ear wax/cerumen

(5)perforated eardrum- hole in the ear drum

(6)side effect of medication

(7)hearing loss

(8)anemia

(9)growth in the ear- a non cancer growth called acoustic neuroma can cause tinnitus

It may be best to consider seeing your doctor or an ENT specialist to find the cause.

The treatment would depend on the cause found.

It is purely related to stress, resolution of the stressful situation is help. In some cases, it is due to another cause and the stress worsens it.

In that case, the other cause needs to be treated as well.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
