Can Symptoms Of Arrhythmia Be Treated And Cured Completely?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hello doctor,
hope you are doing well.
I am having to write to you again regarding my ectopic concern. I had another episode of ectopic for about 15 minutes last week and I had to rush to my cardiologist for the check up. I was bit concerned because this was the first time I had ectopic last for about 15 minutes, though I did not have symptoms like breathlessness etc. and I was able to walk and do all the activities normally, I felt little weak and this maybe due to overthinking about the episode.
My cardiologist checked me up and told it could be due to stress and suggested Met XL 25 and get a Holter done. I got my holter test done today and waiting for the report.
I wanted to know from you if these are any symptoms of arrhythmia and can be treated and cured completely? even if these are not arrhythmia will these disappear with medication completely?
Its been a week I used Met XL 25 and I did not feel any ectopic beats at all except for once which was very minor.
Looking forward for your response and advise.
Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Any such ectopic activity can cause kind of stress. But don't worry as you took a right step consulting a cardiologist personally and Met XL which contains metoprolol which is a beta blocker is a good drug to control such ectopic activities.
As you have already underwent HOLTER which is an important test and can provide important information in such events i would like to review the report of that first before guiding you further in this matter.
So whenever you the report of it kindly upload them for me so that i can review them personally.
And most importantly stay stress free, avoid coffee and other caffeinated drinks for a time being.
