Can Syphilis Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity With An Infected Person?
Question: Can Syphillis be spread if the infected person does not have any sores?
Semi related question. If person A was exposed to syphillis by having oral sex performed on their penis by person B (who has Syphillis and performed the oral sex on person A) and then person A performed oral sex on the vagina of person C less than 24 hours after person A was exposed to Syphillis from person B.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Regarding syphilis
Detailed Answer:
Hello. thank you.
I am Dr. kakkar(Dermatologist &Venereologist). I have noted your concern.
After infection with treponema pallidum a primary chancre usually develops at the site of infection on an average 3 weeks after infection. This is then followed by systemic dissemination that is characteristics of secondary stage of syphilis and manifests as skin rash and mucosal lesions This transition from primary to secondary syphilis usually happens after several weeks of infection. Therefore it is unlikely that a possible infection acquired on your penis would have disseminated to your oral mucosa within 24hours. So the scenario that you mentioned is highly unlikely.
