Can Taking Trazodone, Gabapentin And Amphetamine Together Cause Anxiety And Nausea?
Question: Feels a bit odd to b asking an online doctor; however, I need an outsider to offer input on a q or 2 in hopes of clarifying important things I’ve been receiving mixed information on.
Complexities:
- had gastric bypass 2009
- a survivor of severe physical abuse; only mentioned because could be the ‘cause’ of some unexplained.... things
- also allergic to hydrocodone(sp?), penicillins,
- migraine/cluster migraine reactions from foods (such as the vegetables peppers/onions and nuts {not legumes - peanuts})
Some meds = Gabapentin 2/300 2xday, trazodone bed, lorazepam/.5/4x a day but constantly forget, topiramate 2/25/2xday, Maxalt MLT 10& onden...? (For nausea) as needed
... Supposed to take Victron see iron tablets however to constipated so intermittently I take them and drink fiber, Supposed to take B-12 5,000mcg 3/5xweek & women’s multi vitamin however, honest = $$ right NOW not able (other meds etc have taken precedence bc some not covered by insurance)
—> been given only been on for +/- 35 days, Amphetamine Dextroamphetamine 30mg (in place of Concerta due to insurance change) and bc’ of gastric bypass need to take Omeprezole (or type antacids) for life
Been having more anxiety than normal and quite a bit of unusual behaviors - for me- (swearing, highly agitated, angry, increased stomach uncomfortable/even increased vomiting, increased body pains/especially in my hands/knees and new = lower back)
Any thoughts ? (Besides ‘Holy xxxxola!’)

As per your history you are on a cocktail of medication which are acting against each other.
Take iron polypeptide(PP26) its very safe and no side effect is encountered with this drug like constipation or loose stools instead of normal iron capsules.
Nausea is because of Trazodone and Gabapentin they are all very heavy drugs. Nausea dizziness extreme drowsiness are very common with these drugs.
Amphetamine and others are stimulant so they are just going to increase your anxiety. There is no use of taking lorazepam while on ope hand lorazepam on others.
One would calm down your system while amphetamines would stimulate it.
A better option for you is to take Paroxetine. It's a very safe drug and increases the level of anti-anxiety hormone serotonin on your body. Take paroxetine with lorazepam for a better effect.
Basic problems that you are on a cocktail of medicines which is causing worsening of symptoms.
Try what I suggested for a few weeks and you would feel much much better.
