Brief Answer:
it can but get BP & Sr. Electrolytes tested

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Usually such switching is free of any problems when done slowly.
It all mainly depends on the doasge you were taking and how fast the tapering or switching was done.

In any case, just get your blood pressure and serum electrolytes checked and if they are normal- you need not worry. This will most probably pass away on its own.

At your age- lexapro will definitely be a better choice than symbalta, has least inter drug interaction and is safe. Symbalta was relatively strong so may be taking that out is leading to dizziness.

Dont worry, just get the tests to be on safer side.
Drink adequate water and fruits to maintain hydration and also help dizziness.

Wish you good health!
