Can The New Liver Lesion Be Seen On A PET Scan Be Killed Metastases?
Question: What can a new liver lesion be seen on a pet scan? It is 16 mm and suv XXXXXXX of 2.8. Can it b a killed metastases?
Colon tumor was removed last year and back then the stage was dukes c1.
A recent scan showed 1 liver met and 1 node . In addition , this lesion on liver with suv of only 2.8.
Background liver uptake was 3.4.

Well,any SUV less htan 3 for liver lesions is not suspected to be metastsais, although it cant be ruled out 100% But Since you passed chemotherapy then it most likely to be killed metastases which are manifeste with area of fibrosis.
The best approach would be to check tumor markers and repeat ct scan or pet scan in 2-3 months to verify dynamics of grow of these lesions.
