Can Thyroid Disorder Elevate Anti-TPO Antibody Levels?
Can thyroid disorder cause any complications
About Hashimoto thyroiditis...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
High AntiTPO antibodies suggest for a chronic autoimmune disease called Hashimoto thyroiditis that is usually inherited, mainly by females.
These antibodies destroy the thyroid gland and when more than 80% of the gland is destroyed it does not produce enough thyroid hormones causing hypothyroidism.
So, the fact that TSH is normal, means that your thyroid gland functions normally until now, but it should be monitored every 6 months because one day it will be the need to take the hormone orally.
You may try selenium supplements as there are studies supporting its effectiveness in lowering these antibodies.

Brief Answer:
About Hashimoto thyroiditis:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It does not affect the weight as far as the thyroid hormones are within the normal ranges (TSH is normal).
In the future, if hypothyroidism is installed and not treated it may cause weight gain.
That is why you need to check TSH level once in 6 months, in order to treat hypothyroidism early and prevent the symptoms.

Hello,
Regarding blood in urine, you need to do erythrocyte morphology to get further information regarding the origin of red blood cells (the upper or lower urinary tract) than further examinations are performed according to the result.

About hematuria...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is not at the levels to get worried.
It should be caused by a urinary infection, stones in the urinary tract, tumors (that are excluded by ultrasound) etc.
You need to repeat it again after a period of 3 months (of course if the infection is excluded) and if hematuria persists than your physician may suggest further exams to try to find the cause.

Check the second urine:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I would suggest checking a second urine sample after a period of 3 months.
If they persist than other tests should be done. Urinary infection is excluded if the 2 urocultures are negative.
There are stones not visible in ultrasound or some forms of glomerulonephritis to be excluded if hematuria persists.
You should not get worried because it is a slight elevation.
Hope I have answered your query.
