Brief Answer:

Please provide more details.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It looks like an ulcer only.

Can you please tell that:

-Is the sore painful?
-Since how long is it there over the gum?
-Is the tooth over it is painful?
-Is there any discharge of pus or blood present?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Brief Answer:

Get an X-ray of the tooth.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

If the tooth is also painful then can be probably tooth abscess.

So my suggestion is to once get an X-ray of the tooth done to check if the tooth is decayed and causing periapical [infection reaching under the root of the tooth] infection.

If it is due to tooth infection then root canal treatment of the tooth can help in improvement.

If it is due to infection in gum only then you need to get a deep cleaning done followed by antibiotics like Metronidazole.

For now apply Oragel or Mucopain gel over it. Also apply Chlorohexidine gel. Do warm saline gargles.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
