Can Urinary Infection Cause Discoloration Of The Genitals?
Question: I'm having discoloration on the side of my genitals (head of penis). Im dealing with a diverticulits, and u have a liite blood in my urine my blood from the urinary infection u have. Could that be the cause?

Attached is the photo. It's a little painful, itchy burning. Medications: metronidazole / ciprofloxacin hcl 500 mg. I was also exposed to the herpes virus in the 1990s

From what I've seen so far, it seems to be due to genital thrush, precipitated by antibiotic use.
I advise to apply clotrimazole cream locally and hydrocortisone cream locally to ease the symptoms.
If no improvement. then further test are recommended including genital swab testing and culture. As per treatment, oral antifungals are recommended as per tests results.
