Can Vaccination Against B Hepatitis Is Healthy?
Question: Hello !
I have been vaccinated against B hepatitis - i have
question
In all literature it is said that b hepatitis vaccine protect against infection 98- 100 % cases in healthy people
98% to 100% protection against hepatitis B
https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/hepatitis-b
There is rare situation when B hepatitis mutant escape from vaccine
But in these case less than 5 % develop chronic B hepatitis in healthy adult
Hepatitis B infection acquired in adulthood leads to chronic hepatitis in less than 5% of cases
https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/hepatitis-b
So if there is rare case when vaccine dont protect me ( mutant escape vaccine) - risk of getting chronic be hepatitis is still less than 5%
Logic !
As it is important to think positive all the time
Thank you very much
