Brief Answer:
Better avoid sweets and restrict salt

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us .
Sugar and salt should be restricted till one year of age .
1. Sweets may be avoided till 1 year . You can add jaggery in very small quantities to baby feeds .
2. Salt should be restricted as kidneys are developing at this age . No need to add salt to baby feeds . If you are giving idli or dhal or kitchdi or kheer , make sure salt is one fourth of what adults take .
