Question: Hi Doctor, How can we guess the gender of baby by ultra scanning reports at 5th month of pregnancy ?

Brief Answer: It is an offence to ask & answer such question. Detailed Answer: Hello Nagareddy.mca Thanks for writing to HCM Firstly,congratulations to you for expecting a baby. Sorry,you can't find gender of the baby in USG scan report.No radiologist depict those pictures in USG report.Normally they don't see sex of the baby during scan.It is an unethical practice and it is an offence to ask and answer such a question.Both doctor and asking person can be penalized under court of law.It is an offence under Indian law.so,please restrain yourself from asking such questions. Brief Answer: Please find detail answer below. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXX Thanks for writing back I can understand your problem. Most of the parent has some curiosity about the gender of the baby,but disclosing gender of the fetus is not legal in our country. Besides this,it is not technically possible.No Radiologist can determine gender of the fetus from the given USG pictures because it is never shown in the images. Hope i have answered your query.
