Can You Conceive A Baby If You’ve Had Sex The
Question: Can you conceive a baby if you’ve had sex the day before you got off the Implanon birth control? So like basically if I had sex on the 25th of the month and then got off birth-control the next day which would be the 26th of the month could I be pregnant from that?
Brief Answer:
Pregnancy is unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Pregnancy is very unlikely in this case.
You may become pregnant one or two weeks after the removal of the implant.
If you are worried you can go for a urine pregnancy test (UPT) for reassurance.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

This was years ago, and I have a child now. One last follow up would be if I had the implant passed the due date of it being taken out is it possible? I had the implant put in around 2012-2013 I can’t really remember so around 2017 it should’ve expired I got pregnant November 2017 just trying to gain some reassurance for my situation.
Brief Answer:
It will not give protection after three years.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Implanon is a long acting contraceptive and you will get protection for three years(some of them for five years) starting from the insertion.
It will not give the protection after three years because the hormones would have exhausted.
Thanks
