Brief Answer:
The dosage is right

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
the dosage for azithromycin is right. The duration should be 3 days. Please keep in mind though that not everybody with sore throat needs antibiotics. Most cases of throat pain are caused by viruses and azithromycin cannot provide any help.

You'd better visit a doctor for proper evaluation. The doctor can evaluate when an antibiotic is likely to help.

If an antibiotic is necessary then the most appropriate option is penicillin V for most patients. This is not for everyone either. Make sure you visit a doctor before using it.
