Brief Answer:
Exams

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking

The most common rise in immunoglobulin levels is polyclonal, due to immune system activity caused by infection and autoimmune disease like SLE, scleroderma ,rheumatoid arthritis etc

Your doctor will give you probably other exams to make the diagnosis like blood exams

Hi Dr,

Thank you for response. I have been multiple tests. Whwt tests would need to be done further?

I have had ana and esr along with ra all negative. My cbc showed I have elevated bilirubin and have gilberts syndrome.
I also have a history of alopecia areata, and premature ovarian failure but esr and ana always negative. I have recently had a elevated ca 19.9 at 71 retested at 1 month and it has decreased to normal at 35. I have had a us, ct scan, mri/mrcp and all negative thank god. What else could be causing this polyclonal elevation? Thank you

My mom has kappa light chain deposition. I have been tested in the past where my igm has been elevated. In the past there was a flow cytometry which showef "an apparent normal immunofixation pattern". But elevated igm of 286, but this time around it is igm elevated and polyclonal pattern. I am trying to understand this.
