Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I understand your concern and would explain that there are many possible cardiac and extracardiac causes that may lead to cardiac arrhythmia.
Possible cardiac causes would be: cardiac ischemia, cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, etc..
Possible extracardiac causes would be: a lung disorder, electrolytes imbalance, thyroid gland dysfunction, anemia, etc.
For this reason, I would recommend performing further tests to investigate on the possible causes:
- a cardiac ultrasound in order to examine the heart structure and function
- a chest Xray study or a chest CT scan
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for possible imbalances.
A cardiac stress MRI would be a more accurate test to examine better the myocardial tissue, heart function and the presence of possible myocardial ischemia.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
I remain at your disposal in case of further questions whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, cardiologist
