Question: I've had a bad rash type symptom which developed as itchy, stinging sore, blotches. They have gotten worse and spread. I went to ER and they prescribed prednisone and I have taken benodryl. Can you suggest any over the counter aids to relieve the itching?

Hi,

For itching you can take antihistaminic like tablet Cetirizine 10 mg twice daily or tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg twice daily.
Both of these should be available as over the counter medicines.
