Brief Answer:
about low cortisol;
Detailed Answer:
Hello amd thqnk you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The symptoms you reported are suggestive for allergic reaction that usually react very good to corticosteroids.
You have checked the cortisol level in blood that resulted low and it is excpected when you are being treated with corticosteroids. So in your case it is not a pathology, but it is a temporary low level caused by the prednisone you are taking.
Hope the information will help.

i have been seeing and allergist and immunologist for over 5 months now, i have done alot of allergy testing. i have tries singular, cromolyn sodium, hydroxyzine, ketotifen, xolair allergy shot. tried epi pen and it did not eork well like it would for people with allergies. benedryl dont work zyrtec dont work. i have went through everything allergy related and its not that. cortisol can be low before steriods because when i take steriods i feel better. so i am not sure what you are saying.
Brief Answer:
about low cortisol;
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
If the cortisol is checked, when you have been taking corticosteroids, it is expected to be low ( when you take corticosteroids the adrenal glands stop producing coryisol) . If you have not been taking corticosteroids when you checked cortisol level, you should see an endocrinologist in person for further exams.
Hope the situation is clear.
