But there are number of factors are identified which might either trigger or causing the condition 1. Some people are genetically Predisposed to this condition 2. People with Atopic dermatitis may be prone to phompholyx 3. Infections in distant site 4. Some detergents in washing dishes or clothes 5. Metals or Allergens such as nickel or cobalt (either on the skin, or in food). There are many aggravation factors 1. Emotional stress 2. Whether changes 3. Environmental or food allergens like nickel 4. Infections. There is no cure of Phompholyx but it can be treated and keep in under control. If you are once identified as prone for Pompholyx, then you have to take these preventive measures to avoid the recurrence. 1. Avoid direct contact with soaps, detergents, scouring powders, and irritating chemicals. Protect your hands by wearing waterproof, cotton lined, gloves. 2. Wear waterproof gloves while handing vegetables like cutting or peeling 3. Avoid activities like washing clothes or laundry by hand. 4. Avoid dish washing. 5. Avoid contact with paints, turpentine oils, polish etc. even shoe polish. 6.Change your shoes and socks regularly 7. Always wear cotton gloves in house and office. 8. Use very mild soap for bath and hand wash purposes 9. Protect your hands from dust. 10. Protect your hands for at least four months after your eczema has healed. It takes a long time for skin to recover. If you aren't careful, the dermatitis will recur. Thus Pompholyx can be prevented by taking at most care. Hope this helps.
