Chest X-ray Showed Mild Tented Left Hemidiaphragm. What Could The Reason Be?

Question: It's about a chest X-ray. I had it done a while ago, the lungs were clear, no other findings. Only it also showed a mild tented left hemispere. What could be the reason for that? I;ve never smoked.
Sorry, it wasn't supposed to be a hemisphere but hemidiaphragm. We're talking about a chest X XXXXXXX

Hello XXXXX,
Thanks for posting your query on XXXXXXX
There can be many causes for a tented hemidiaphragm. The most common being the normal variation seen in some people.
Then there can be other causes like a fibrosis or collapse of a portion of lung generally due to infection or a fibrous tag pulling the diaphragm up. It could be secondary to pleural(membrane covering the lungs) pathology and so on and so forth.
In your case in all probability it appears to be a normal variation as you do not have any pathology. So just relax and do`nt be anxious. Ofcourse if there are any more inputs you have do post them on XXXXXXX and i will be glad to answer them.
