Child Developed Red Dots On Nose And Cheek. Could It Be Ruptured Blood Vessel? Any Treatment?
Question: Hello, within the past 2 months my son has developed 2 small red dots on his face. One located on his nose, and the other one is on his cheek. I did some research on it and seen that it could possibly be a ruptured blood vessel? If so, what are the treatments for that, or does it go away on its own?
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The small red dots due to ruptured blood vessels is a benign non progressive lesion. Usually no treatment is required and these do subside on their own in 3-4 weeks after skin color changes.
Most of such spots disappear on their own.If there are any other symptoms as itching, changes in size, shape and consistency consider visiting a Physician for evaluation.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
