Question: Hi, my son 10yrs and daughter 6yrs both get red pus filled small red bumps all that cover only there chest and backs and a few on arms legs and butt. They don't itch but are sore like pimples. In about 3 to 7 days they start drying up and go away then reappear in a couple week or months. This has been going on since they where 1.
Is it some kind of allergy? The bumps are the only symptom.

Hello
Welcome!
I would be pleased to answer your question .
If they are getting recurrent pus filled sores / boils it would be important to rule out primary Immunodeficiency in them . Serum IgE levels should be asked for by the treating pediatrician to rule out immunodeficiency ( JOB's Syndrome) . Other causes of immunodeficiency should also be ruled out .
This is not an allergy and will need to be investigated by getting a blood work up done .
till you XXXXXXX the Dermatologist or the Pediatrician you should apply Neosporin cream on the boils wherever they occur.
You can apply those twice a day for a period of 10 days.
It would be important to see the Pediatric Dermatologist as early as possible .
Thanks and Take care
