Child Started Behaving Strangely. How To Deal With This Situation?

Question: I have two children. Daughter of 2.5 years and son of 8 months old. My daughter likes her brother very much. But she does not give any toy to him and she grabs any toy that he has. And sometimes she says not to take care of him (even when he is crying and needs someone) and we have to be with her only. My wife as a homemaker takes care of both of them when I am at office. I understand as a father that she may think that she is losing priority after the brother has come. We try to see that she is not losing importance and we treat both of them equally.

Please advise me how to deal with my daughter and how to make her understand that we treat both of them equally.

It is an interesting & real problem.
This is common for the family having two child of similar age.
Sometimes it creates a lot of problem.
The age difference between your two child is minimum.
Your older child is not old enough to thinking in a right way.

Distribute the toys between them equally.
Try to make her understand that he is her own brother & he is junior to her.
Your younger child is too little to play with a toy. So you can give more to your daughter.
Teach her how to take care of her brother & sharing of food.
Sometimes give her chance to feed liquid food(eg-feeder) to her brother.
Slowly it will create a wonderful relationship between them.
And do not worry. With time, kids learn the relations faster.
