Brief Answer:
Please do a chest X ray and a Spirometry test
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in HCM
I can understand your concern but I was wondering if you have already Dona a chest X ray and a Spirometry test to evaluate the lungs for infections or for narrowing of the airways.
If yes please attach them to me and I can help and advice you better.
If not please discuss with your doctor to order for them. They are very important in your situation and especially if you have difficulty in breathing too.
Albuterol does not help a lot in chronic cough if we don't know the exact cause of the cough.
Sometimes a gastric reflux might be another cause of the chronic cough also.
Hope to have been helpful
