Clinpro And Ionseal Much The Same?
Question: My dentist needed to put sealant on two different sensitive teeth and chose to use two different sealants. One seemed to have worked better in terms of calming the tooth down. One sealant was Clinpro and the other Ionoseal. When I asked the dentist about any differences he said both products are exactly the same as far as the properties and how they work. My question is are Clinpro and Ionseal pretty much the same?
Brief Answer:
Almost same but composition is little different
Detailed Answer:
Hiii, first of all thank you for approaching us with your query. I read through your query. I must say that Clinpro is sealant used for reduction of sensitivity mostly. Ionoseal has composition of sealant along with glass ionomer cement. It can be used for sensitivity along with restoration of the grooves, pits and fissures to prevent cavities.Hope you understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day. Dr Rohit

Doctor, one last question. With this Clinpo sealant, is it porous where if I put some desensitizer on top of it, will it partially soak through this sealant to help the irritated gum underneath?
Dentist said it will partially absorb liquids yet stay in place. Just wanted to verify with you.

Doctor, question about an implant where in one month the surgeon said he will be taking the final x-ray and all looks good will be handing me the abutment I will need to hand to the dentist. My question is this - I have had implants in the past where after abutment was afixed, dentist immediately took an impression and could make an immediate temp crown. Now, I am told that yes, impressions are taken but for some reason, has to go off to a lab before even a temp can be made. Is this so and can I avoid that step of the lab to just have a temp made since I have waited long enough for a tooth?
Brief Answer:
It depends on the dentist
Detailed Answer:
Hiii thank u for your followup query. I read through your query and I must say that making temporary crowns from lab or not depends on each dentist. Some prefer to sent to lab and make and some will make by themselves or their assistant in the clinic itself. Your dentist may not have time for making it himself in his clinic or may not have proper material for making. So he might have sent to lab for making it. Nothing to worry about it. Whatever they have done will be good for you. Hope you understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day.

Just one last question before discussion ends - Implant has been healing in bone now for 2 months and oral surgeon is checking it next week with x-ray and says if all looks ok, I can start on getting a tooth. I always thought it was 3 months. Have u had patients who were able to get tooth sooner, with just a 2 month wait?
Brief Answer:
It depends on each persons body
Detailed Answer:
Hi, first of all thank you for your followup query. I read through it and I must say that I have given prosthesis (teeth) over implant within 2 months for many patients as they had good healing and implant got attached to bone very fast. Bone always takes 2-6 months to heal and attach to the implant. So it wont be a problem. It depends on person to person and their body.
Hope I have answered your query. Thank you and have a healthy day.

Doctor, one last important question. There is no abutment on implant as of yet. Once abutment is placed on implant, does that need time to heal or can an impression for a tooth be performed same day?
Brief Answer:
Depends on what abutment they are going to place
Detailed Answer:
Hiii i read through your query. I must say that if healing abutment is to be placed on the day then you may have to wait for 2 weeks for healing. Otherwise if prosthetic abutment is being placed on that day then impression can be made directly on that day. Hope you understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day. Dr Rohit
