Question: Planning to do an IVF. Concerned about the current Covid situation. If Conceived and If tested positive what happens to the pregnancy? As during pregnancy no medications to be taken as it has an impact on the unborn baby. kindly suggest if can go ahead with the IVf process

Yes, this is a different/difficult situation. However, based on analytic reports found, there was no significant risk found that a pregnant woman is at higher risks of getting COVID-19 infection. COVID-19 infection is unknown to cause any effects on a growing fetus; or the chances of ectopics or fetal defects. However, there are some reports suggesting pregnant women are prone to develop severe COVID infections if they are exposed to the virus.

Therefore, if you are able to remain at home and practice all safety measures necessary to prevent COVID-19 exposure, you can continue perusing IVF treatment.
