Constipation With Anal Leakage (mucus) - Pain Radiating To Lower

Stools are small pebbles which feel 3 X the size to pass
Tried magnesium enema, laxatives, gelatin suppository, extra fiber with good results to go to bathroom regularly but anal leakage persists and constipation and stool remain difficult and small pebbles.
My wife sat on my office chair and after 2 hours complained of pain in her rectum - I have been off work for 2 months and due to lack of weightlifting (bad hip) my glutes have atrophied and have sitting all day on computer. (possible cause?)
I have been drinking beer every night for the last 2 months also.
I have to go to work in a week for 2 months (I cannot afford to take time off - I go to doctor for further assessment at a later date)
There is a slight pain in my rectum when I sit.
It could be Anal Fissure
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it looks like Anal Fissure.
Hard stool causes trauma to the inner sensitive layer of the Anus leading to Pain.
You should take plenty of liquids, take high fiber diet.
Your stool should be soft.
Pain killers may lead to constipation which in turn intensifies Fissure.
If dietary modifications doesn't relieve the symptoms, you should take Laxative.
For anal Fissure,I prescribe Ointment containing Diltiazem to my patients.
It's better to use Water Pillow below your seat so that there will be no pain even you sit for prolonged hours.I advise the same thing to my patients.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health
Regards

Mucus normally comes from anus
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Some amount of mucus will come from the Anus.If it is more, then you have to get investigated.Colonoscopy should be done to know the exact cause of this excess mucus discharge.
Constipation leads to hard stool which damages the inner layer of Anus causing pain and bleeding.Ointment containing Diltiazem will help in healing the Fissure.
Please consult a Gastroenterologist and proceed further.
Wish you good health
