Cough Problem. Taken Medicine. Suggest Treatment?

Question: Having cough from last 5 to 6 days. Medicines have been taken but no major change. Please suggest a good syrup or tablet.

1] Is the cough dry or productive?
2] Is it associated with fever?
3] Is there generalized bodyache and weakness?
4] Are other members of the family also suffering?
5] Do you smoke ?

2] Is it associated with fever? - it was but from last 5 to 6 days its only cough
3] Is there generalized bodyache and weakness? - Yes
4] Are other members of the family also suffering? - No

Thanks for the prompt response

What I gather from your response is that you are having a seasonal viral infection which is usually self limiting

You may continue the syrup you are using for another couple of days and add a Tablet of Paracetamol for generalized bodyache and weakness

If this does not help after couple of days, visit your doctor and get an antibiotic prescribed
