Could I Take Xanax With Fentanyl Patch?

default
Posted on Fri, 19 Jan 2024
Question: i sent a message about a half hour ago asking if I could take Xanax with fentanyl patch or should I get off Xanax (3mg daily)) totally before I start fentanyl. I never received an answer.

my main question is if I have to quit Xanax completely before trying fentanyl. I really need the Xanax, and if so, I probably will not get into fentanyl.

Brief Answer:
Major interaction

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but taking Xanax with the fentanyl patch can lead to serious central nervous system depression which can lead to serious side effects including respiratory distress, coma, and even death. I would no recommend using both medications together.. I hope I answered your question.. if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion..
