Posted on Tue, 21 Dec 2021
Question: How to wean off of 60mg Cymbalta, moved across country and don't have a Dr. yet. I want to take every other day then once adjusted skip 2 days, etc. I have missed 3 days previously, away from home without Cymbalta and had horrible reaction - paranoia, shakes, etc. Taking for depression associated with fibromyalgia, taking 2 years, no longer want to take. Now in South have sunshine, daily walking, exercise at beach very close to home and want to try more natural ways to deal with depression.

Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It is not advisable to try this on your own. Without the close monitoring of a medical professional, you may develop recurrent major depression, anxiety, or withdrawal symptoms that while not dangerous can be unpleasant. Typically doctors recommend lowering by the dose by 10% a week, depending on your reaction, but this is highly variable.
