Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Vikoryl 10 has anti allergic drug Chloroheniramin which gets secreted in breast milk and can cause bad effects on baby (liver problem), if taken for long duration.

A single dose will not have the effect so don't worry. But I would suggest to take another anti allergic medicine like Levocetrizine (Cetirizine) to avoid side effect on baby, (in case you need to have a longer course of pills for cold.) Paracetamol should be added for pain &fever relief. This can be supplemented with nasal drops in case cold is very strong. Antibiotic may be added if there is throat infection. You should consult your family doctor for physical examination &advise for specific doses you need.

Vapor inhalation / hot saline gargles would give some relief. Avoiding known allergens, avoid exposure to cold or dust would help.

I hope this would help you. Any follow up query is welcome. Thanks.

Regards
