Could A Hypoechoic Vascular Ovoid Nodule In The Neck, Below The Ear A Cancer?
Question: My daughter has a hypoechoic vascular ovoid nodule in her neck below her ear. They found this with ultrasound and are scheduling her for a CT. She had an appointment with a dermatologist in two weeks. Her husband is in the army and things move very slow for family members. They had her appointments scheduled in two hours. This is scaring her and me. Could this be cancer?
Brief Answer:
Biopsy test recommended
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since your daughter is having hypoechoic nodule in neck below ear she must do a CT scan of neck as she is rightly doing.
If any suspicious space occupying lesion is found in the neck then biopsy test has to be done to rule out cancer
Since she is not having any symptoms of swollen lymph nodes pain and weight loss I do not think she is having cancer
